Dinner Flight to Cincinnati
Air Center 1 took three planes to the Lunken Airport in Cincinnati for a dinner flight on November 3rd. A total of eight went on the trip, including students, customers, flight instructors and friends.
It was a beautiful evening and everyone enjoyed a good meal at the terminal at Lunken. The Lunken Airport has as much, if not more, history than Bowman Field. Such as, in 1925 it was the largest municipal airport in the world. And, it's the originating home of American Airlines and Embry-Riddle.
A flood from the Ohio River in 1937 flooded the airport, giving it the nickname, "Sunken Lunken". The tower was almost entirely sumberged. Many famous people landed at Lunken through the years, such as Charles Lindberg and the Beatles.
We taxied our aircraft right up to the terminal to eat dinner at the Sky Galley restaurant. Stay in touch with Air Center 1 so that you can join us for our next dinner flight. We'll probably have another trip within the month, when we plan to take all five planes somewhere. If you're interested in joining us on our next trip, just email us and we'll keep you informed.

Students Take Dinner Flight to Owensboro
A group of our students and flight instructors flew to Owensboro, Kentucky for a fun evening together. The destination was one of our all-time favorite BBQ restaurants -- Moonlight BBQ. Although the original destination was Bowling Green, the weather dictated that we go West instead, but everyone had a great meal and a fun evening of flying. Stay tuned for our next planned dinner flight.
